I've joined a wonderful doll group called the "Dollerious Dolls"- I think this really befits me personally because I am so busy I am delirious half the time anyway! At first I would just go and enjoy myself- but I allowed myself to not bite off more than I could chew. I am so happy that I'm here and I love the friends I have made in the group, and look forward to the once-a-month gathering. It just feels good to go and be around creative people. Hard to believe that the doll fanatic had no drive for half a year, but it was true!
The good news is, I am finally going to participate in the group's new project- well here it is.
Dancing Doris by Jill Maas.
I am not really accustomed to using other patterns, I generally just snoot at patterns stupidly and make up my own. But this time I am going to do it with a group and will probably end up buying 10 more when I get onto a roll! I am expecting this to be a whole lot of fun.
This Doris is an old lady with a sense of humor. I love that. We all have to make our own 'Dancing "D" from "D _ _ _"
One of the gals is making 'Dancing Desiree from Dallas.' I can't wait to see who that will be. I think mine will end up representing all kinds of stuff I've been bottling up over the past half a year- in her own way. I am not sure what that will look like, but my pattern arrived yesterday and I bought stuffing.....
